Our parts are predominantly used for shock protection, vibration isolation and misalignment.

Vibration Isolation: Vibration machinery can produce harmful or noisy vibration.  For a given vibrating mass, a flexible support can be applied to isolate a vibrating body from its support structure or accompanying devices.  Examples are engine mounts and pedestal mountings.

Shock Protection: The magnitude of a shock load can be greatly reduced by flexible supports.  In the event of a shock impulse, the flexible support deflects and stores part of the energy and slowly releases it back to the system in a controllable manner.  In essence, shock mounts can prevent catastrophic failure of fixtures and fittings and reduce g-forces on isolated components.

Misalignment: As a result of compound tolerances and small movements, rubber based parts can be used to accommodate misalignments between fixtures whilst still providing a solid support.  Rubber can be used as a bearing material, e.g. bushes when small angular displacements are required that would previously necessitate a greased pin or bearing race - thus reducing cost and maintenance.
